| A four unit helper set spliced by a fuel tank car is coupled ahead of the road power on an eastbound manifest reaching the top of the long grade from Crawford at Belmont, NE. The cut behind the helper set is the former right of way that led through a tunnel. The exploding coal business brought significant improvements to what was once a lightly traveled branch line. |
