Power Up 307! The site of so many many great restorations, the N.C. Transportation Museum in Spencer, North Carolina has recently announced yet another. Former Amtrak 307 (F40PH, EMD, 5/1979) was acquired by the museum in 2004, but has fallen into disrepair, as seen on July 25, 2015. It was announced the month that the museum's shops will start to convert his locomotive into a power generating car for its passenger trains, and will be be repainted in the classic "Phase 3" paint scheme.
