| Thompson Canyon Grade An early morning manifest originating in Vancouver blast up heavy grade in the Thompson Canyon. The grade here is about 1.2% and will be one of the steepest sections of railroad this trains on the CN encounter between Vancouver and Edmonton. The train riding on CPKC rail. CPKC trains will encounter much steeper grades east when the encounter the Selkirk's and the Rockies . |
