Conrail On Former Conrail. On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, CSX Train M410-06 traveled across sections of both Conrail Shared Assets and the former Conrail now CSX River Sub with CSXT 1976 (Conrail Heritage, ES44AC, GE) leading. This unit is one of a series that CSX has started to release with a modern CSX painted cab and a "heritage" body, with the scheme of a predecessor railroad and numbered for the year that company began operating. The train is seen crossing Catskill Creek in Catskill, New York. From 1976-1999, when it was the "big railroad", this was Conrail territory.
