| During the time that MK was converting the MK5000C to MK50-3's. A few MPEX unit were loaned to the Utah Railway. This train has two of them MPEX 5000, and MPEX 5356. MPEX is a one of a kind. And one of seven unit to have the MK cab. The unit was originally built by MK for Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern. They end up rejecting the locomotive. From there it floated around as a leasor, or siting at MK in Boise. |
