OKLAHOMA CITY Feb 3 1980 — Rock Island caboose 17801 sits beside the engine shed at Harter Yard. Complete shutdown of the Rock is only days away. One of my train-chasing friends was a yard clerk at Harter Yard. He saw the future and joined the Air Force. It was a smart move. My photo.
