| Amtrak's train #301 is running hard southbound at Girard bound for St. Louis with the Lincoln service. Trains are up to 90mph on this Illinois Taxpayer's Express highway. 301 has a 5 hours and 7 minute trek over the 284 miles between Chicago and St. Louis. Work might be done now so trains can run over 100mph on this route. |
