| With a Bessemer & Lake Erie tunnel motor and a CN Anniversary Dash 8 on the point, CN U731 rounds the bend as it rolls through Iron Junction, Minnesota and heads towards the Fairlane Taconite Plant. These trains shuttle raw iron ore from the Eveleth Thunderbird Mine to the plant for processing into taconite pellets, which are then taken to the docks in Duluth for loading onto lake freighters. |
