| Back in late 2022, the CN moved a bunch of SD70M-2s to the Waterloo to Kirk Yard trains for captive service. Pairs, trios, and a 5-pack of solid EMD's were used out of Waterloo to power 338 east. It was a big departure from the constant supply of foreign power normally coming in and out of Iowa on these trains. A 7400 foot 338 gains speed east of Winthrop as they dip thru the Buffalo Creek sag on their way east towards Dubuque. |
