NASA rocket boosters for Artemis II have traveled across the country via UP & NS, now on the final stretch. NS had delivered the train at sunrise and FEC was ready to take them south without much dwell time, but several rolling inspections before heading out. The last train like this ran in 2020 and, then, 2023 seemed like a lifetime away, but, as they say....Tempus Fugit. Trailing unit FEC 414 has a special place for me & rocket boosters as it was that 2020 move that landed me in place to find my first "Grupo" paint leading a work train in nearby Titusville. I remember thinking it would have looked better on this train. Now here we are.
