A westbound BNSF coal train crosses the long bridge over Lake Pend Oreille at Sandpoint, Idaho, in the falling snow on January 28, 2020. During this time, BNSF was busy working on the approaches of a new parallel bridge that will soon be built allowing double track on this bottleneck on the “funnel” between Sandpoint Junction and Spokane.
