As the fall peak season is drawing to close on the calm Saturday afternoon. Train No 100 is about to enter the east portal of the 1859 built Whiteside Tunnel along the old East Tennessee & Georgia Railroad right of way. Looking east through the tunnel theirs no mistaking the beautiful Mineral Red, and Yellow scheme telling use that NCStL No 710 is assigned to the Missionary Ridge Local. Personally I can be very bias, but No 710 is one of my personal favorite, and one of the best looking preserved locomotives in the Tennessee Valley Railroad Collection in my opinion.
