| The Masked Engineer: In a sign of the times, a Norfolk Southern Engineer is seen masked up at the controls of a Tier 4 GE Evolution Series locomotive amid the COVID-19 Pandemic. Behind the leader are NS 4179 (AC44C6M; rebuilt from C44-9W NS 8965 in March of 2019) and NS 9839 (C44-9W). NS 212's symbol was changed to NS 24X in August of 2022. |
