"Chargers-on-Hudson"

During the night of November 20th, 2023, Amtrak Extra 843/862, with Siemens ALC-42's 340 and 342 are seen pulling into Croton Harmon station in Croton-on-Hudson, New York while on a Cab Signal Test Train on Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line. 340 & 342 are 2 of 75 brand new Siemens built ALC-42 locomotives purchased by Amtrak to haul its long distance trains across the United States. These locomotives feature the latest technology and will replace the aging GE P40/ P42 fleet.
