| Two things are synonymous with mountain railroading: mountains and maintenance of way. The Thompson River Canyon is a sight to behold as tracks cling to a two thousand foot (600 meter-ish, forgive me) rocky slope with enough rock sheds to lose count. Even better, it's possible to lose count of the number of trains winding their way through this major artery of North American railroading. |
