One Month: Just one month after being released from the Wabtec facility in Erie, PA, this AC44C6M was involved in a derailment as the trailing locomotive on NS 96Z in Madison, MO after the train was struck by a truck while passing over the Highway 24 road crossing. While the UP locomotive that was leading this train suffered minimal damage, 4690 was turned onto its side and incurred exterior damages upon contact with the ballast and ground beside the tracks.
