Pinch Yourself. Artists Geraluz and Werc were putting the finishing touches on "Dreaming", the newest Newark Arts/Newark Artist Collaboration on Thursday, December 21, 2023 when NJ Transit Train 853 passed with NJTR GP40PH-2B 4210 (Erie Railroad Heritage) leading approaching the Newark Broad Street Station. The design of this locomotive returning in the modern era could only be imagined as a tribute to the commuter service of the Erie until becoming a reality this year, the first black and yellow locomotive with the wings and diamond to grace the area rails in revenue service in decades.
