| Since the journey time of the Eurocity trains between Munich and Zurich was shortened to 3 1/2 hours, the trains are usually a great annoyance, the punctuality is absolutely inadequate. Trains from Munich often arrive at Zurich main station almost half an hour late. As the two-hourly trains are part of the Swiss timetable, services between St.Gallen and Zurich are also severely affected. But on this day, the EC 194 from Munich via Lindau-Bregenz-St.Margrethen-St.Gallen to Zurich was on time to the minute from start to finish! The "Astoro" high-speed tilting train RABe 503 # 018 of the SBB in the special livery for the Munich-Zurich service can be seen between Winterthur and Kemptthal. |
