| Cogwheel locomotive HGe 4/4 II # 109 "Matterhorn" of the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn pulls the PE 923 GLACIER EXPRESS from St.Moritz to Zermatt between Oberalppass and N?tschen. The locomotive # 109 was built by SLM and ABB in 1990 as # 1 for the Brig-Visp-Zermatt Bahn (BVZ) and got the new number # 109 of the MGB after the large refit in the SBB works of Bellinzona in 2023 (as last of the rebuilt locomotives # 101 to # 109). The numbers # 3 to # 5 should remain without refit for some years, and # 2 will be used for spare parts. |
