    Remarks & Notes
ALBUQUERQUE NM Aug 2 1982 — Santa Fe SD39 4014 leads a five locomotive light engine movement rolling east. EMD built the 4014 in June 1969 and delivered it as a Locotrol master in Bookends livery with blue body and yellow ends. After mid-June 1972 it was repainted in blue body with yellow warbonnet. In January 1986 the San Bernardino CA shops rebuilt it as an SD39u. As part of the proposed Southern Pacific-Santa Fe merger it was renumbered ATSF 1570 and painted in red body and yellow warbonnet with black roof and black frame livery. After the proposed merger was rejected on a date before October 1990 ATSF 1570 was repainted back to yellow warbonnet livery. With the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe merger successful it was transferred to BNSF On September 22 1995. On Nov 5 1999 it was renumbered BNSF 6214, patched BNSF on the cab sides and retained its yellow warbonnet. My photo.
