Santa Fe 3751 from the engineer side. I saw the 3751 for the first time on November 26, 1976 when it was still on display in San Bernardino. After it was restored by the San Bernardino Railway Historical Society (sbrhs.org), I saw it run of Tehachapi Pass, Cajon Pass, and from Los Angeles to Fullerton. My father was able to see it run over Abo Canyon in New Mexico. I wish I could of asked my great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., if he did any design work on the Santa Fe 3751 class engines while he work at the Baldwin Locomotive Works. According to the specifications listed on the back of the builder's card, the engine and tender had a total weight of 709,300 lbs., and it had a tractive force of 66,000 lbs.
