Stand Behind The Fence. On January 22, 2024, Amtrak ALSTOM Acela 2 Train Set 8 (AMTK 2146-2118) operated as train 844-22 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Boston, Massachusetts. This was an unusual daylight run for the new train, which has since returned to Philadelphia. As these deadhead and testing runs continue, various adjustments are made as apart of the process to their final acceptance. The train is seen just after passing through the Noroton Heights, Connecticut station, which is located on a straight section in the middle of a large sweeping S-curve.
