    Remarks & Notes
HEREFORD TX June 20 1986 — Santa Fe B23-7 6406 makes its way east with a mixed freight. GE built the unit (s/n 44082) in December 1984 and delivered it with a roof-mounted air conditioner, AAR-B trucks and delivered it in blue body with yellow warbonnet livery. On Sept 22 1995 it was transferred to Burlington Northern Santa Fe. In February 1998 it was painted in BNSF H1 livery and renumbered BNSF 4624. My photo.

Aside from Warbonnets and Chiefs, Santa Fe was a workaday railroad like any other. This album showcases that less glamorous--but no less vital--side of the famous ATSF.
