| Swamp Weather.
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metrorail 7000-series car no. 7288 (Kawasaki, 2012-2020) is the lead unit on an inbound Red Line train seen arriving at Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Station during a massive thunderstorm that slammed the District while I was visiting. Washington's climate is very hot and humid - as my friend dubbed it, "swamp weather" - which leads to frequent summer thunderstorms like this one. |
