There Goes The Last DJ...

The last hurrah for coal burning on the Durango and Silverton as K-36, #481 takes charge of the 2024 Winter Photographer's Train for what will be the final one of these unscheduled trains to be led by a coal burner. 481 will soon enter the shop and receive the conversion to oil to match the rest of the fleet. With this, the '81 will be able to finally operate in a non-winter situation for the first time since 2019.
