| "Conveying Retirement"
As the sunlight fades away on February 3rd, 2024, Amtrak MP15DC 537 sits coupled to a cut of retired MFS-40 Conveyor Hopper cars at Cedar Hill Yard in New Haven, Connecticut. Amtrak's MP15DC locomotive fleet continues to run on borrowed time as 36 newly rebuilt EMD GP38-3's purchased from Progress Rail continue to arrive on the property.
