Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun. Amtrak Train 3 (Southwest Chief) was an on time departure as it approached Roosevelt Road in Chicago, Illinois on April 16, 2022. Leading the consist is the heritage unit duo of AMTK 161 (Phase I) and AMTK 160 (Phase III/Pepsi), both repainted for Amtrak's 50th annvirsary. The Phase I scheme is most recognizable from its application to the EMD E8s and SDP40F, the "Pepsi" scheme was only used on the GE Dash 8-32BWH. These are just two of the heritage units created by Amtrak to honor its history.
