Duet On Broadway. On the afternoon of Monday, March 4, 2024, Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) NYCT Subway R-42 4806 (St. Louis Car Company, 1969-1970) was returning from the car wash at Canarsie Yard on track J2A when it crossed over R-160A-1 8557 (Alstom, 2005-2008) on the J Line on track J3/4. The flyover that the older R-42 sits on is non-revenue trackage and it is not part of any passenger route. This train of R-42s is used for "Special Events", including training, drills, and movie shoots. The pair are approaching the Broadway Junction Station in Brooklyn, New York heading towards Manhattan.
