| For two consecutive weekends the Welded Rail Train dropped rail on the mainline between Calverton and Manorville. When crews weren't working, the train was laid up on the Calverton Spur which is the only siding that could hold 28 cars without fouling any crossings. The Calverton Spur is mainly used by New York Atlantic Railway for switching at Eastern Fence, so it's always a treat to see LIRR on the spur. |
