| Siemens "Vectron" 193 # 462 "Gallarate" of SBB Cargo International, rented from the LokRoll, is leaving the 57 kilometer long Gotthard Base Tunnel at Pollegio with the southbound intermodal train 40019 from Basel Bad Bf via B?zberg-Gotthard and Ceneri Base Tunnels-Chiasso to Milano Smistamento. Since the derailment of a freight train in the west tunnel of the base tunnel in August 2023, only the east tunnel is still in operation. Passenger traffic still travels via the Gotthard mountain route. |
