View of Bodio station and the route of the Gotthard mountain line northwards towards Giornico. In the station on track 2 you can see the northbound IC 878 of the IC2 line from Lugano and Bellinzona to Zurich, 2 coupled "Giruno" RABe 501 of the SBB. Further up, IR 2417 of line IR26 from Zurich to Locarno comes around the bend, a Traverso of the Südostbahn on the way as TRENO GOTTARDO. Bodio station is the destination of the Gotthard Experience trains from Erstfeld. There is also freight traffic here, in particular the gravel train from Hüntwangen, which runs several times a week.
