| The Swiss Railwaymen Travel Association (SERV) Winterthur section celebrated its 75th anniversary on this day. A special train with the 3 luxurious PRESTIGE CONTINENTAL EXPRESS coaches (two dining cars "Le Salon Bleu" and "Le Rubis Noir" and a piano bar car "Le Diamant Bar") pulled by the matching Re 421 # 387 (Re 4/4 II # 11387) of IRSI, formerly SBB, ran for the members. The train from Winterthur via Bülach-Eglisau-Schaffhausen-Kreuzlingen-Romanshorn-St.Gallen-Wattwil-Wil SG back to Winterthur-Bülach-Schaffhausen makes a stop at the small station of Schlatt on the Schaffhausen-Stein am Rhein line. The trip was organized by RailEvent and operated by the railroad company TR TransRail.
The Swiss Railway Travel Association (SERV) is a leisure organization founded by railwaymen in 1948 with the aim of organizing inexpensive and special trips for railwaymen and railwaywomen. The Winterthur section was founded in 1949.
