The diesel passenger run poses briefly with the Chinese 2-8-2, which is slowly coming around, a process we got to witness firsthand in the cab. The "awakening" of a steamer is one of my favorite behaviors of the old teakettles. The first hiss, then thumps, groans, etc. progress in that imitation of life. Then the pumps start working and we can imagine respiration. Finally power and energy embodied in steel. An experience I am glad I have not been denied.
Photos of North America's favorite First Generation locomotives. EMD, ALCO, Baldwin; essentially anything that represents the OG wide cab diesel locomotive
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
