Back in 1993, the Cedar River flooded out the CNW mainline around Cedar Rapids. Mainline trains ended up making the slow trek thru downtown Cedar Rapids for a few days. Later this day, the trains would resume on the mainline south of town. This was once the main thru Cedar Rapids til the cutoff was built between Otis and Beverly. The train here is passing over the river near downtown. Very cool old CNW metal herald is half left. Scanned Print April 1993.
