Once the BNSF Merger took over, the railroad scrambled to find power to run trains. It was a railfan's paradise to see some of the kit bash consist the railroad put together. Probably a consist of units not usually together too often, especially in the late 90s. A drag freight leaves East Dubuque on the Aurora Sub in the late afternoon. Scanned Slide from February 1997.
Looks like the 8574 went to the BCOL as #3905, and then to the Ferrocarril del Istmo de Tehuantepec (FIT) as #3905.
