| CPKC's Final Spike train heads over Caddo Lake as it approaches Shreveport. To the right sits the historic 1914 Caddo Lake drawbridge, which was notably visited by Generals Dwight D. Eisenhower and George Patton during training sessions in 1941. This stretch of the Empress' trip ran from Heavener, OK over Rich Mountain into Shreveport. |
