| SBB "Giruno" high-speed train RABe 501 # 027 arrives at Zurich main station on track 8 as empty train 99033 from Zurich Herdern stabling yard. The train will depart at 7.08 a.m. as IC 911 to Chur. On the far left, above the Negrellisteg across the tracks, you can see the central signal box of Zurich main station. No one works there any more; Zurich main station and the entire area of eastern Switzerland is remotely controlled, dispatched and monitored from the SBB's Eastern Operations Center in Zurich Airport. |
