    Remarks & Notes
"Top of the Apex at Apex"

On May 17th, 2024, the Creative Rail Services PABCO Gypsum Train, powered two FarmRail EMD GP10s, pauses at the apex of the Fibreboard Spur in Apex, Nevada. At this location, the conductor will set a couple of handbrakes for the steep drop towards the UP Interchange.

Creative Rail Services' PABCO Gypsum Train operates on Union Pacific's (UP) former 11.5-mile 'Fibreboard Spur.' This line runs between the UP interchange along the Caliente Subdivision in Apex, Nevada, and PABCO Gypsum's manufacturing and mining plant in eastern Las Vegas, Nevada. The railroad utilizes two FarmRail EMD GP10s, FMRC 8267 & FMRC 8180, both of which were in the process of being prepped for repaint when these photos were taken.
