The sun is setting on a frigid January day as NYS&W WS-1 approaches the State Street crossing in Hackensack with two newsprint boxcars in tow. These cars were once a common sight on area railroads, as most major newspapers had rail-served plants spread throughout the region. Most of whatever limited newsprint business remains is now handled by truck. I assume those cars would soon be spotted at the Bergen Record plant just a few blocks east of this location.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
