| GMTX SW1500 #173 is the power on this day for Vermont Rail System's New York and Ogdensburg Railway. Here, the 173 has one tank car in tow as it crosses Wagner Road in the town of Lisbon, NY, just east of Ogdensburg. This section of the railroad between Norwood and Ogdensburg was originally the Ogdensburg and Lake Champlain Railroad and was owned and operated by the Rutland Railway from 1901 onward. This is the only surviving section of the O&LC. Everything east of Norwood disappeared with the Rutland in 1963. |
