On the morning of August 7th, 2023, MTA New York City Transit's “stainless steel” Budd R11 (NYCT 8013) leads a 4-car "Train of Many Metals" test train over the Beach/South Channel Drawbridge on the IND Rockaway Line in Queens, NY. This equipment, typically housed at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn, was brought out to "stretch its legs" and ensure it remains in operable condition.
