    Remarks & Notes
Red Nose Era. MARC Train 877 was on the way to Brunswick, Maryland when it passed by the Washington Grove Station with GP40WH-2 MARC 54 (née-IC 3057, GP40, EMD 3/1967) leading a single Kawasaki MARC III, four METRA Gallery cars, followed by another Kawasaki MARC III on August 27, 2010. Since this period, the GP40WH-2s have all been retired from MARC except for the occasional appearance of MARC 68, generally in non-revenue service, and the METRA cars have been sent back to Chicago. The Washington Grove Station opened in May of 1873, and has been served by commuter trains on the Metropolitan Subdivision for what is now over 150 years.
