The self-propelled 0-6-0+0-6-0 steam snow blower Xrot d # 9213 of the Rhaetian Railway, built in 1910 by SLM Winterthur as R # 1051 for the then independent Bernina Railway, has been preserved as a historic vehicle ince 1976. Until winter 2020, demonstration trips with the impressive machine were carried out in winter in the area of the Bernina Pass at around 2250 meters above sea level. Then a comprehensive overhaul was due. A single employee of the Rhaetian Railway refurbished the Xrot d # 9213 at the Pontresina depot and it is now complete. In the morning of this day, there were brake tests near Pontresina, on the line going towards St.Moritz. The snow blower in full speed is heading back to Pontresina.
