| On September 8, 2024, a train of the Eisenbahnfreunde Zollernbahn (EFZ) from Rottweil was used on the route of the Etzwilen-Singen Museum Railway (VES). The freight steam locomotive 52 # 7596 crosses the Rhine on the Hemishofen viaduct with the train from Etzwilen to Singen (Hoehntwiel). The 25 meter high and 254 meter long bridge was opened in 1875, built on behalf of the Swiss National Railway. The line was never electrified and was closed in 2004. Since 2006, the Etzwilen-Singen Railway Preservation Association (SEV) has been operating guest locomotives on certain days. On the Rhine below the bridge the private steam boat "SH # 91". |
