| The six-axle former SBB diesel locomotive Bm 6/6 # 18507 is on its last legs. It was towed from the Winterthur goods station to Winterthur Grüze to be recycled by Maag Recycling. The 105 ton locomotive with two Sulzer prime movers 6 LDA 25 with 625 kW each and 75 km/h maximum velocity was built in 1960 by SLM, BBC and SAAS and was withdrawn 2007 and sold to Schorno-Locomotive-Management Gmbh in Winterthur. On the locomotive are members of the Swiss Shunting Locomotive Association (Verein Rangierlok Schweiz), which would like to keep 1 or 2 of these locomotives in working order. |
