During the Aspen season, the Helper set makes its way through Pando, on its way back from Tennessee Pass to Minturn. The set includes two of the six CN GP40-2L locomotives, which were on test on the D&RGW for the then new Super Series wheelslip/slide creep control equipment for that September. The line up was 3098, 3022, 3021, CN9607, 3042 and CN9616.
