| Transferring from the Norfolk Southern Railway’s Brooklyn District to the Alton & Southern is an NS freight pulled by SD70ACC 1849 (ex-SD70 2535), with NS AC44C6M 4140 (ex-NS Dash 9-40CW 8908) assisting mid-train. This junction of three railroads (just two these days) used to be controlled by the no-longer standing Lenox Tower. (Mitchell, Illinois – October 6, 2024) |
