Metrolink train 608 used to arrive in Orange at 19:20 (7:20 pm), but starting three days earlier, on October 21, it now arrives there at 9:30, essentially ten hours earlier, thanks to radically new schedules as Metrolink strives to become more than just a commuter operation, adding trains throughout the day to work toward becoming a regional transportation system. This train is on the carrier's 42-mile-long Orange Sub, but on the right, diverging here at Control Point Olive, is the southern end of their 5?-mile-long Olive Sub. The northern ends of each of these subs meet the BNSF's San Bernardino Sub. 34-year-old F59PH 868, built in November 1992 and one of just two still in service (I believe), leads this 5-car train.
