Howling Through Hawthorne. On October 26, 2018, during a power shortage on the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway, leased CSXT 9037 (C40-9W) leads CSXT 4589 (SD70MAC) and NYSW 3808 on the SU-99 to Binghamton, New York at dusk. The train is seen passing the former NYSW Hawthorne Station in Hawthorne, New Jersey, which was restored by the Volunteer Railroaders - VRA with private donations decades after it served its last commuter, and is still a favorite photo prop today.
