| The Proviso to Marshalltown freight lumbers along only 10 miles from their destination. The UP does alot of switching in the yards throughout Iowa now that Proviso isn't open. Means alot of back ups and staging trains all day between Boone and Clinton. Seems pretty dumb to me, so that's why the railroads do it! |
